Sers,

da ich in Kürze den Kauf eines MacBooks plane wollte ich fragen, ob jemand (Kyrios? :p) nähere Infos zum BootCamp hat. Kann ich da wie am PC beim Booten auswählen, was ich Booten will? Denn in so nem Video dazu wurde gesagt, dass wenn ich z.B. Windows herunterfahre, ich im Mac OS lande. Das würde aber bedeuten, dass ich Windows virtuell im Mac OS laufen lassen würde, was sicherlich ressourcentechnisch nen Hänger wäre.
Außerdem würde ich gern wissen, ob man jenseits der zwei gemanagten Partitionen ne dritte hinzufügen kann, auf die beide OS' zugreifen können... es wäre komfortabler, Dokumente, Musik und Co. teilen zu können, ohne dass ich iwo immer nen USB-Stick mitschleppen muss.

Achja, für ne Partie WC3 oder WoW brauch ich kein dickes MacBook Pro, oder? Will meinen Desktop PC in Rente schicken, da ich ja im MacBook dann eig. alles habe, was ich brauche. Und ständig PC ungraden suckt

ob es einen bootscreen gibt kann ich dir nicht sagen, jedenfalls hat es keinen standartmässig dabei bei bootcamp. Du kannst einfach deinen rechner entweder unter os x oder windows starten und Vice versa.

das windows startet bei bootcamp nicht virtuell, also du musst den rechner komplett neu starten. es gibt programme wie parallels, die dein windows auf einer virtuellen maschinen starten und da hast du starke einbussen was grafikleistung angeht (glaub direkt x problem) aber word usw. kannst du so locker starten und ruckelfrei benutzen.

du kannst deinem rechner so viele partitionen hinzufügen wie du willst.
das proglem ist einfach, dass os x zwar alles lesen kann aber sie kann kein ntfs schreiben. also wenn du eine partition machen willst, die von beiden betriebssystemen gelesen und geschrieben werden soll muss es eine fat32 partition sein, was die dateigrösse stark einschränkt. unter windows kannst du ohne Zuhilfenahme von software keine mac formatierung lesen oder schreiben können.

mein macbook pro kann aktuelle games auf tiefen einstellungen alle noch ruckelfrei darstellen und es ist schon 2 jahre alt. Die grafikkarte ist einfach keine gamer karte, damit musst du dich abfinden.

Wo liegen denn die Grenzen für Dateigrößen im FAT32-System? Und womit sollte ich dann, falls ich es dann doch nochmal will, spielen? Mac OS X oder Win7? Also bei den Spielen, die beides unterstützen (z.B. Wc3 oder WoW).

Bootcamp: 2 Partitionen
1 MacOs 1 Windows
Kannst von jedem System aufs andere zugreifen. (mitn paar Tools halt

)
Beim Hochfahren ALT drücken und du kannst das System wählen.

Zum Spielen: mit Bootcamp bzw mit Windows neu hochfahren - fertig
für ALLES andere Windows in ner VMWARE laufen lassen, braucht nen scheiss an Leistung und du hast die Vorteile beider Seiten.

Für WoW reicht auch n Wurst ding (wenn ne GeForce 9400 M drin is, sollts dick reichen) - kannst mal Youtube gucken da gibts einige Videos wie WoW auf Macs läuft

Was willst mit FAT32? Hat Mac ned, und solltest dein Win auch ned damit installieren. jo 4GB max
Stichwort: NTFS3g, dann kannst NTFS schreiben

für WoW empfehle ich MacOs zu benutzen (Itunes-ingame support) UND da ich mac os mehr benutze is alles so konfiguriert das es gut läuft - mein Windows wird eher Stiefmütterlich behandelt

Okay so gesehen bin ich, auf Windoof bezogen, nur Office- und Adobe CS3-abhängig (ja ich weiß, beides gibt's auch fürn Mac). Ansonsten, das günstige Win7-Angebot mit einberechnet, will ich einfach nur die Möglichkeit haben, bei Sonderfällen umswitchen zu können. Ich würde Windoof nie über OS X setzen, sollte der Grund nicht etwa ein Kompatibilitätsproblem sein :p

Bis auf die beiden Software-Pakete bin ich längst M$-unabhängig. Ich kann den Wechsel kaum erwarten, da ich Unmengen an Programmen wegwerfen kann.

Musst du nicht Armin, lass Barty ruhig in seiner Windows Nussschale leben
